Privilege – 22 May 1466
It is clear that this possibility of using the water represented an economic resource for the owner of the water: in a similar way to what could be concluded for the level investiture of land, a contract was stipulated, the level, renewable, based on the which regulated the period of time of the concession and the value of the concession itself. The term investiture in the Middle Ages indicates the placing in possession, the conferral of a position, or of a good, as in this case.
In 1475 he in turn granted the possibility of extracting water, this time from the Gamarra
n. 31 – 1475 April 10 – Livellary investiture made by Pietro Gallarati in favor of several of the right to extract water from the Gamarra. (A.G. XXVI.B9)
In 1486 there is a document that provides for the perpetual investiture made by Pietro Gallarati in Matteo Confalonieri of five hours of water from the Roggia Gamarra. (A.G. XXVI. C5). The investiture, i.e. the granting of possession of that quantity of water, has a continuous character, which, if foreseen, could also be enjoyed by the heirs.
