Three days after the granting of the Ducal Privilege to Galeazzo Maria, Duchess Jolanda, or Violante, of Savoy granted another Privilege to Cicco and Pietro: that of extracting water from the Gamerra for the territory under Savoy jurisdiction, to the S of the mill of S. Giacomo , that is, where the so-called Gamerra Manufatta begins, the ‘new’ section of the canal. Jolanda, daughter of the French king Charles VII of Valois and sister of his successor Louis 1476, Jolanda stipulated a wedding contract with Galeazzo Maria Sforza with his daughter Bianca Maria, a wedding which did not take place due to the early death of the groom in 1482.
